REST API

Internal high-performance endpoints for binary transfers and session management.

Internal API: These endpoints are internal by design and expect precise cryptographic inputs (like chunk hashes and signatures). Rather than managing this complexity manually, the Platrium SDK sits between your custom application and these REST endpoints to handle the heavy lifting for you automatically. For all custom applications, developers must use the Platrium SDK or the GraphQL API.

Why REST APIs?

Platrium's REST APIs are the raw, low-level engine powering the platform's core transfer capabilities.

While the GraphQL layer handles user data and structure, the REST APIs are built specifically for raw performance and complex protocol handshakes. They handle operations such as:

  • Authentication: Processing login tokens and session cookies.
  • Upload Sessions: Initializing passports, deduplicating chunks, generating HMAC receipts, and verifying zero-read commits.
  • Download Sessions: Mapping geometry hashes, interacting with the StorageManager, and generating presigned URLs.
